Fromme trail conditions

Snowline starts just before the Executioner Connector on the Climbing Trail - it's basically a push from that point with some of the flat/dh parts being ridable. I think that with the freeze that's coming in a few days it's going to be 10-14 dys before it's climbable all the way to the road. I went down LOC, Grannies, Crippler and Lower Crippler and had a blast.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

The gate is open, but I came across significant deadfall out there on the lower section.

Two large trees across mtn highway, one 100m before floppy entrance, one just before Bobsled.

One large tree is across the lower berms on Floppy and the exit is covered in branches.

Lower Griffin and King of the Shore have significant trees across them and a ton of standing water.

Kick out those puddles as you go!

A few dead falls on NQ just before and past the Executioner intersection.

Trails are running great. Sat & Sun were both good times.

So glad to be back out

Top of Espresso on Sunday. 100M down the trail all was well. Trails are in great shape

Was the road clear and the trail had snow for the first 100m?

No the road def not clear. Quite a bit of snow on the road from top of Ladies on.

NQ on Sat had less snow being west facing with more sun exposure. Rode up to the NQ/Executioner intersection where was starting to get to deep to ride in past that point.

Anyone notice all the underbrush/forest management they are doing along Breamar?  Cutting branches off up to a certain height, clearing out the old dead stuff.... I guess forest fire issues are finally on the DNV's radar.

The abandoned house on Coleman has had fencing put round it, looks like it's going to be worked on.

This cuts off the exit/entrance for the Dempsey Connector so you'll have to drop into Skull and exit via Mill Street for a legit way out

That's a bummer but inevitable I guess. That was my go to exit from that side of Fromme. The Mill St exit is pretty rough and I have a feeling people living near that exit might not be too happy about the increased traffic.

I agree but Mill Street is at least a legitimate exit/entrance with stairs etc set up by the DNV. It's not a great way of entering that side of the mountain.

It would still be great to have something that connected Dempsey Connector to the parking lot or 4th switchback to create a two way traffic trail across the mountain. Bombard the DNV with requests for this as we are constantly being denied valid entrances and exits to Fromme.

Think that abandoned house will get flattened. Would imagine it's pretty rotten from what you can see inside when you pass by.
