The new Severed entrance berm work is a work of art
2018 Seymour Trail Conditions Thread
Fresh flowy berms on John Deer after Saturday's trail day. Lots of fun!
Some recent work on Dales and Forever After to smooth out a few rough bits, thank you builders. Also Penny Lane/GSM and the new re-route berms on John Deer running really well. A couple of those new berms are soft and dusty, looks like some rain starting Sunday thankfully.
I went out tonight to see what the trails looked like after 600 BCBR riders went through this morning. Amazingly, except for a few spots, you'd hardly know that many people had been out there. It really is amazing how durable the trails are. Thumbs up to all the builders!
Anyone ride Boogieman recently? Is the wasp nest still there? Nothing new on trail forks.
Thanks
Finished up a great ride today with a little climb and a descent of Boogie Nights. NSMBA had a Work Wednesday trail night and tonight was some TLC on Boogie Nights.
Great work by the trail crew. Hopefully they got the beers I left for them at the cold beer and wine store.

What's running well at Seymour these days? Haven't been in months, might be able to sneak out Sunday morning, figure the dirt should be primo.
I rode Pingu, Pangor & Boogie Nights yesterday. Dirt is in fine condition, but wood and rocks were slippery in spots. As mentioned above, Boogie Nights is in great shape.

Ended up riding Severed, C-Buster and John Deer yesterday. Legit perfect conditions and weather for a bike ride, and lots of people out because of it. C-Buster still humbles me on line choice on the last couple of steep chutes, don't have the balls to roll down that one wood ramp and going around it is awkward... love the jank though. John Deer fun and fast as always, some holes before berms but the berms themselves are just mint right now, so much grip.
I did notice a lot of families out walking up/down Old Buck and BP as well as down Empress Bypass. Felt bad for them as other riders were just flying down it and not being friendly about passing, sucks when people don't respect multi-use. On that note, the hiking re-route will be a benefit (and yeah, personally I have no idea why you would hike there unless it's walking distance from your house, so many better places to go).

I like going around the ramp for the challenge of making a smooth tail whip around that buried log to keep the flow going. I saw tire lines on there the other day and was wondering who else was riding the trail.

The Seymour 'gate' across the road at the turning to old buck parking lot closes the road off at 7:15 so no night time shuttles.

I assume that changes once the ski hill is open?
God I hope so.
Was closed at 7 last night. NSSR was doing training on the Baden.
What's up with the "smile, you're on camera" sign (right underneath the no mountain biking sign) at the 1st switchback on the Mount Seymour road?
