Slush fest according to Trailforks
2018 Fromme Trail Conditions Thread
Climbing up to Lower Espresso yesterday was fine. Riding down it was a bit challenging, super icy.
it's pretty icy right now, the rain has melted some of the snow, but it's refrozen as well, so avoid early morning.
Old friend of mine visiting tomorrow ; we were planning to ride Fromme.
Shall we forget that idea ? anybody tried today ?
Is Seymour less slushy ?
Thanks.

I pedaled out to SFU this afternoon and up the road to the top in hopes of heading down a few trails but the snow was too wet/slushy. After the first 30m or so of Grearjammer I turned around and pushed back up to the road as it wasn't really worth it imo. I would imagine it would be similar for Fromme and Seymour today. Climbing up would be out of the question but considering the temps and how quickly the snow is melting you might be ok for a ride down tomorrow on the shore.

Did No Quarter to where Executioner crosses this morning and it was great, only 2 dabs
came down Executioner and the compact snow was good, but by the time we got to the bottom, things had warmed up and it wasn't so good
So it you are going, go early while it is still crusty
Cold temps at night will keep things frosty this week

If it means anything I gave lower Seymour a try yesterday afternoon and it was a slushy mess. Little traction. Hard to climb and descending was slow. It was a beautiful day to be out, but I’d rather have been doing trail recon or clearing downed trees or something other than being on a bike.
Did a recon trail run lap with the dog on Fromme yesterday. Going to take a while for it to melt with this forecast.
Early bird gets to ride
