There’s really only one way to pedal up that’s not up Cypress Bowl rd. BLT.

I pedal up all the time, including tonight. There’s a bunch of wicked trials off of BLT and close to it. Load up Trailforks and enjoy!

If you’re headed over to meatsweats, exit at the works yard

Is BLT fenced off by shithead developers at the bottom?

Nope. I think you’re thinking of the upper mountain path that is under construction. From the area of the first switchback, ride up eagle lake access road. Take the right at the top of the hill that is blocked off to cars by the yellow gate and immediately beside the power substation. If you pass by buildings on your left you’ve gone too far. Go up that road and go in the forest at the second right. You’ll pass by the bottom of upper Tall  cans and the top of wutang very shorty. Stay right at the branch and climb past single lane traffic on your right, Roach clip exit on left, Roach hit entrance on right. Water tank, lower Tall Cans entrance and fern trail all on right. Roach clip and upper Tall Cans start at power lines. Keep climbing!

I am going to print out this post and draw a heart around it with a big red marker.

Ha, easiest thing is to make sure that youve got Trailforks on your phone and you’ve downloaded the cypress map so you can refer to it without signal (which you go in and out of on cypress).

You shouldn’t have any problems tho.

God I love Cypress. Had so much fun pedalling laps, great suggestion Ddean. I feel like a total slug for having shuttled it all these years.

Everything I rode was running well. Even rode a couple of new-to-me trails I hadn't ridden before, brought a smile to my face to see benchcut sections on Cypress. Thank you builders 🤝

Only ran into a couple of heads up sections: Lower Tall Cans is pretty badly washed and dusty on the steeps. Stupid Grouse still has that tree blocking the entrance, and another tree half way down that has been nearly cut through.

Unfortunately this didn't end so well. :(

Tweed was found Saturday night, unfortunately the outcome was not what we had hoped. She went to rest in the forest and her soul is at peace. Sorry for the delay in posting. We have all been saying our goodbyes. Please say a word for her. We were so blessed to have her in our lives. Xoxo

Snow line on Cypress BLT

Snow starts bottom of Roach Clip. Top of Upper Tall Cans has a few inches but none in the woods. Prob 6inches at Slippery.

5th Horseman and below in prime shape, can't say anything about trails higher than that though.
