Old skool raver.......... rave to the grave !!!
Just back from a lap of the climbing trail & 7th.
Climbing trail fully clear
Some thick slush on Mtn Hwy between 6th & 7th s/b...I rode about 60% and pushed the rest.
7th has got some compacted snow for first couple of hundred metres but is completely rideable...
Rode both days on the last weekend, rained off and on.
Have to say the trails drain off so well the puddles were almost non existent.
Especially lower Espresso and the new Dreamweaver re route.
nice
7th is such a good trail on an all mountain bike.
Thread killer
Any updates on the trail conditions? Still snow at the 6th?
Thanks!

Bit of mush on road at top, 7th all clear.
But hey, what's happening with that gravelly rut that ends by the sketchy house on Coleman? And what is the story on that house? This week a lot of trees and brush were cut on the left side, so seems that getting ready to do some work on it.
I am loving the Dempsey connector, now just finish rides off on the trail, never have to go down to Braemar or Dempsey.
Is the Dempsey connector back up and running? Last time I rode it out to Coleman it was like riding down a dry river bed filled with boulders.
By sketchy house, do you mean the one it exits out past? I always thought that was weird to come out in someone's driveway....

The tree work wasn't on the property, but there was a sign up indicating they were cleaning up the woods as an anti-forest fire measure.
The small trees cut down are all along the creek bed/gravelly rut, so it doesn't look like a fire break. I had talked to the builders on the Dempsey Connector a couple months ago, and they had said the plan was to eventually have the trail come out at the level of the parking lot. There would have to be some zig zag climbing, and there's a cliffy area that's in the way. I hope the plan is to also make a safe, mellow-ish exit to Coleman or Mill Street - it would be nice way to finish when taking kids or intermediate rider friends on Expresso.
Anyone with more info?
I stand corrected, it is work on a fire break (a sign is now on Coleman). A machine working in there today.
So how far up is the snow melted out? 1st? 2nd? Expresso?
A friend of mine rode 7th on Sunday and reported snow for the first quarter making riding tricky, if that helps...
Fromme was great on weekend. Some new work done on first part the NQ climb.
The final rib cage section is still the endless suck. Good times

I took this for the first time on Sunday, is there a better exit than skidding down the open fire break slope and walking by that empty house? That has to be private property but at least no one's home. Wasn't sure if I missed the end of the trail or not.
Lower Oilcan, Lower Expresso and Penzoil all running mint with no mud or water. Really enjoy Lower Oilcan, one of my faves on Fromme now I think.
