The trail fairies have been working their magic on upper 7th.  I was expecting it to be dust today, but new dirt was so fresh it was still a bit tacky.

Since June 30, it was good, then it got sorta dusty, then it sprinkled and was good, then it got dusty then really dusty, then really, really, really dusty. Now it has sprinkled and all is good on the Fromme again ('though I suspect the dust cycle will repeat to a lesser extent).

Will continue to update every 2 or 3 months.

Ha, so true, it will be dusty again in a couple of days, the rain didn't come close to saturating the dirt, just the surface layer.

Rode today, it was excellent, miss the slippery conditions, WE NEED SOME REAL RAIN.

It's still far away but forecast calling for 40-50mm on Sunday. That could help.

40-50mm could help, what we need is constant light rain for 3 to 4 days. If we get heavy rain over a short period of time, all the top surface gets washed away, so slow saturation is best for all the "gold" we throw down around here now.

Fromme is running well right now. Had my first ride down Ladies Only last night, top half was awesome, some of the steeper stuff on the lower section was a bit beyond me for a solo evening ride.

FYI the sign says the gate is closed at 7pm now. I left right at 7 and there were still cars in the lot, gate open.

Fromme continues to be mint. Went for a rip down Crinkum/Kirkford and then upper/lower Expresso yesterday and wow, perfect tacky dirt the entire way. Props to trail crew/builders as all 3 of those trails had lots of evidence of recent hard work and were in excellent shape. Lots of fresh dirt being thrown about.

It was also my first time doing the Expresso Smooth rock roll, no idea why I waited so long as it's dead simple (when dry at least).

Rode 7th today. It's in great shape, but the entrance was as dicey as I want to get.  There's snow below the 6th switchback, but it was cold, frozen and an easy pedal today.

Is there any snow/ice (not frost) at the top of Expresso/Leppard/Crinkum etc? Or Dales on Seymour?

No snow. Maybe frost.

No new posts since the bouts of snowfall followed by a deluge of rain. I was in Cumberland over Xmas and didn't get much riding in there due to snow.
