Yup, I rode up BLT to Upper Tall Cans, and rode down UTC yesterday. Snow on BLT nearing the top of UTC, but except for the first few feet of UTC, UTC is clear of snow entirely.

Roach Clip looked clear too.

Rode 5th today.

Snow on top 1/3rd of trail too deep to ride it (its FEET) deep.

Bottom 2/3rds are AWESOME.

To the person who piled debris on the blind side of the big rock roll, dont make me put up game cameras! I will get drones too. Lots of drones!

Good thing that I hopped off the bike to check the post-winter condition before I hit it.

It is as it was foretold. Could probably go up to Slippery Canoe as well.

I went by slippery on the way to 5th yesterday. Still too much snow on Slippery and Wild Cherry to ride. No point in going higher than Upper Tall Cans or Roach, unless you want to ride the bottom 2/3rds of 5th, which is worth it.

Not sure about Dirty Harry and the sketch over there.

Excellent intel folks. Thanks.

UTC is running great. Can ride all the way (couple snow patches) and the snow at the entrance is merely a head fake.

Still don't bother riding higher on BLT than upper tall cans. I tried this aft, and the snow is too deep on BLT starting at the bottom of Slippery/top of Pull Tab. I went back down to UTC and Wutang, which are sweeet!

Has anyone tried BLT/Tall Cans since the snow started melting again?

BLT [HTML_REMOVED] Tall Cans is clear. I cleared what I could but there are some big blowdowns on Wutang. Probably good up to Slippery Canoe. Any higher than that is probably snowed in.

Rode Slippery, Pull Tab, UTC and the top of Wu Tang.

All clear. Wild Cherry will be free of snow too.

PM me where the blow down on Wu Tang is and Ill try to clear it up. I got me a chainsaw!

Eagle Lake Rd is clear to the transformer station. The BLT is pretty much clear until it heads back into the woods. From there it's like 3" of weird wet compacted snow that's pretty hard to ride. I pushed up to the top of Wutang and headed down. A tiny bit of snow on the trail but otherwise good riding. I wasn't confident that UTC was going to be clear higher up. But it was really warm so by tomorrow could be totally fine.

What is the climb up BLT like compared to Seymour or Fromme climbs.  I see climbs up BLT to Roach Clip and beyond.  Is is more like the Mtn Hwy climb or steeper like parts of Old Buck or ???

Always end up shuttling Cypress not matter what trail is ridden.  A climb should be a good option.

Cheers

More like old buck some steep bits but mostly fine, wide fire road rough in spots
