As for meeting anyone else, no one else. If LSCR wanted to really keep you out, they would post guards at least during daylight hours. Furthermore, the proposed relocation of Fisherman's Trail (east side) is on the same slopes. So the slopes as they are now should be OK, even though the reason for closing this section of road and BT was supposed to be safety from possible slope failure. Maybe LSCR also wants to keep you from jumping in the new lake. Now that could be fatal.[/QUOTE]

Well. I someone decided to go around a fence past warning signs and got hurt and sued the City, that would be a pretty easy defence. "So" says the judge " You saw the warning sign that clearly said don't go there and you climbed over or around the fence meant to keep you out and got hurt".

These are the folks in my line of work, Insurance adjuster, that I refer to as snots. Snot my fault, snot sposed to happen, snot fair.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

Good news, a new bridge should be in place by the end of this year.

Now saying the bridge should be complete before the end of the year.  Honestly, no kidding, for real this time!

In the meantime, Baden Powell between Riverside and the Richard Juryn trail is closed until December while they improve the stairs.

Pretty stoked for this. I live near the strathhaven entrance to Seymour - it appears this bridge will make it fairly possible to ride across from there to the bottom of fromme? Dunno if I have the legs/lungs for it, but seems like an option? I ride Seymour 95% of the time since I don'th have to drive or park anywhere. Would ride fromme more if there was a way to access that was mostly off-road.

Yes, it will make it easier to ride from Seymour to Fromme.  It has been possible since the bridge washed out, you just have to hike-a-bike up the stairs on the Baden Powell trail at the end of Riverside.  It takes me about an hour and 15 minutes to get from the Old Buck parking lot to the trailhead on McNair.

An excursion I did in August https://www.strava.com/activities/1781704580

Can't do it now though while they're working on the new stairs.

What kind of shape is Bottletop in these days? I assume people still ride it on the DL? Only rode it once before it closed and would be cool to go back when the new bridge is in.

Did a trail run and checked it out with the dog a while back. Rideable? kinda...not really. Needs some TLC and the exit obviously has to be fixed.

Sure it's on the board for the builders.

Thanks for the intel... Maybe it's on the slate over the winter, low elevation so snow shouldn't be a problem. Would make parking at Hyanis more appealing adding it onto a Dales/Forever After loop. Can't remember the last time I parked on that side of the mountain.

Here's another thought riding from Lynn Valley to Seymour when the new bridge is in.

A mtb trail running from the access road by the top of homesteader, down along the old rifle range fence line down to twin bridges?

That would be pretty good.
