I arrived late myself (feeling a little overdressed in my jean vest I might add!).
It was a great event and a great idea on CCN's part. Thanks to Phil and Co. for putting on a great show.
The perfect gig for this time of year to help break up the lag we all suffer from while we wait for the weather to turn. Everyone got to rub elbows, see familiar faces and meet new ones. Also nice to talk about signings and changes and build the stoke for the upcoming season. The venue was awesome (co-ed bathroom FTW!) Norona did a good job on the mic and Tippie was at his best keeping the crowd smiling and seeing that everyone knew everyone.
I got to see Jordan Manley's Deep Summer slide show and the band was good. Got to put faces to names, heard about some cool projects and causes and was afforded some great opportunities as well. All in all a resounding success IMHO and hope to see this become an annual.
I left shortly after midnight as the crowd was waning but things were starting to ramp up in the beer chug challenge category. Had to swallow my pride and walk away from one of my specialties (we all have our skills!) as I was the DD. Hopefully this goes down again next year. I will be there, vest on, designated driver in tow and show you cats how to make a beer disappear!
