I haven't hit the trails in a couple weeks but with the weather we are having I am sure they are pretty sweet. I think Gear Jammer is still closed though.

What's a mountian? Of, or related to, mounties?

Kn.

When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity.

When many people suffer from a delusion, it is called religion.

all trails on burnaby mountain are open - the seasonal trail closures have been lifted.

that being said, given that some of the trails do not fare well in wet weather, if you could respect the following trails by not riding them after 2 days of rain it would be appreciated: gearjammer, uppercut and lower snake. ie after heavy rainfall of 2 or more days, let them dry out for at least 2 days. the drainage issues on upper gearjammer will hopefully be addressed this year, but there's a lot of work to be done.

we will have our trail days posted on the bmba.ca website hopefully within the month.

Thanks Judy, that's what I've been looking for. I'll go either on Sat or Sun, hopefully the weather will hold up, really itching to hit up gearjammer, but certainly won't if it rains a lot. Meh, if wet, will stick to Nicoles. Thanks for the heads up :)

Nicoles was in great shape a couple of weeks ago and with a few more days of dry weather will be good at the weekend. Rode Gear Jammer last weekend and its a bit beat up in places. I'm sure there have been quite a lot of people riding it during the closure, I've certainly seen folks sitting at the start of it on bikes as I drive home.

Trails on BBY are currently in good shape, as it has been relatively dry the past couple days. I will be there this weekend riding Mel's and back up to do Nicole's and then a cool down ride doing a couple loops on Dead moped and the North Road trails.

is nicholes the skid trail?

I always ride nicoles, and am more worried about hitting the hikers who climb said trail.

Yeah ZigZag the climb to descent ratio is pretty crappy being the climb is pretty nasty in some sections. ALthough I'm not a hardcore rider I enjoy it but prefer Fromme much better.
