Well-written article by Steve Sheldon from TORCA http://www.torca.ca/riding-in-the-wet-a-message-from-torca-trail-director/

Another well-written article about general considerations http://www.singletracks.com/blog/trail-advocacy/opinion-stop-riding-like-this-ease-the-impact-of-mountain-biking-on-the-environment/

Hopefully people get that loam and duff are two different things, as pointed out by the TORCA article. Loam in the wet! Duff in the dry!

Ride, don't slide.

Considering most people seem to label the duff trails as "loamers", I don't hold out much hope lol

Opinion is the lowest form of intelligence. It requires no accountability, no understanding.
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live
in another's world. ~ Bill Bullard

Singletracks well written? By what standard? That reads like a textbook you were forced to study in grade 9 social studies.

I agree with your message Lee. We do the trails and ourselves a disservice by not choosing wisely on rainy days.
