Hey, first post for me :rocker: thanks dom for settin me up on here :)
I usually just go for it like semi commit and see how it fealt and if it fealt good or do able I give er.
r u refering to like "mentally" seeing yourself do a stunt/drop before u actually ride it:?
i always have to preride new stunts/run-ups in my minds eye first… if i feel it, then i go…
if i get the "nigglies", then i pass it up…
"if in doubt, chicken out.."… that motto allows me to ride EVERY time i wanna go and stay healthy….
if your talking about something else, then i have no clue…:???:
IFO you got it.
if you want anything bad enough, i find its easy to visualise. think of only the good, and just think of yourself riding off, or finishing, and being super stoked after. think only positive.

Ha, I just wrote a response in the Going Big thread on this exact topic. Visualization rules, it will help make you a better rider. When you get really good at it you can have what's called directed dreams where you dream about doing things you want to ( like a big drop or Pamela Anderson). Believe it or not, this will have a positive effect on your riding. Elitie athletes use visulaization as part of their regular training.
We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

where can i find information on working it in to a regular routine?
like when i was lerning to bunny hope i would yank up and fall back on my back and it hurt i cant visulise since that day
i dont think about what I do
maybe thats why my leg is broken
o well, it will heal :)
superheros
I like bikes
I do it quite often on bigger stuff, especially when I'm skiing. It seems to help quite a bit.
I've been doing it for as long as I've been doing stunts on my bike/skis. I dunno why but it seems to help when you;ve "seen" yourself pull off whatever it is you're tryin to do.
Strange! :thepimp:
shop smart, shop s-mart, mhm
The most important point when doing it is relaxtion. Get a good book on meditation…it helps, but usually I got so nervous - that I really had a hard time trying it.
And - the more often you do it, the better it gets.

i just look at it, DONT look at it for a while coz the longer u take to do it, the more u wont do it. there is a time limit on how long you have basicly. and dont do it if u dont feel comfortable with it. who cares what other people say.
IM BACK!!!!!

I usually just get on top of it (assuming it's a drop) do up to 3 run-ups to figure out my approach. If I don't feel confident on the third run-up, I know that I wont do it and just get down and hang my head in shame:(
And never do something because you're already there and you 'may as well' do it just to not waste the trip, 'cos chances are if you're thinking like that, you are not mentally prepared to do it.
