I have a few days in north Vancouver at the end of September and I´m looking to ride Mt Fromme.

Squamish is also on the list...

Are they manageable for an average rider?

Here´s my usual riding terrain, I can handle it okay : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46XsaqbkxdQ

I also need to find someplace to rent a bike for two days locally, any advice gratefully received. I´ll be bringing my own riding gear.

You guys have too many options, I´m getting dizzy trying to choose.

On top of that, I really like my beers, and there are as many craft breweries as there are trails.....

If riding fromme, several of the trails have been "gentrified" and lack the steepness or gnar the shore was made famous for but now serve as excellent trails to introduce riders to the shore. Give espresso or bobsled a try to start. Seventh secret is a little less polished but still accessible to many. Finally, if you want to test yourself, try something like oil can or Ladies only. Have fun and ride safe

Thanks for the replies, I´ll check out EndlessBiking and save Oil Can/Ladies Only for day 2 or 3.

I´ve been watching tons of vids from there, it looks like another planet. So happy I get to go and ride some of it finally.

If I were still young, dumb & etc, you totally could. Being from Ireland I only got into mountain biking once I'd moved to the Basque part of Spain. I've chosen my home for good now but if I could go back and have a quick word with 16 year old me, I'd likely be speaking fluent Canadian by now 😉
