I just popped in really quickly, signed a sheet and left. There wasn't a whole lot going on.

1) The place was thick with BMXers. I didn't see too many MTBers.

2) There were some basics outlining issues that might come up for neighbours during construction (noise, dust, parking, etc) and how they're going to mitigate that.

3) I think they indicated construction was going to take 4 weeks and was scheduled to start sometime in July?

4) They presented two options. They were both a bit hard to follow. One had a line around the outside with two different lips/landing for each jump…kind of an intermediate/expert line combination with a pump track in the middle. The other seemed to have 3 separate jump lines, no pump track. You could vote on each option.

5) It looks like this is going to be some "real" jumps. The option with the 3 separate lines especially.

Thanks! I had to stay at work for the Parent Meeting last night. It's too bad to hear that there wern't that many MTB'ers there. If this park is going to be for "all" riders then we need to show up and get our two bits in. I hope that there will be a pump track no matter the lay out, that's the one thing that I'd really like to see, espcially given Earth Ramps work.

Sweet. That first option sounds like what I had hoped they'd do. Does anyone know if it was decided on then?

Curious how u knew they were all bmx'rs?? No hiking boots and cargo pants? Ahahaha

It was like anybody who owned a BMX in all of Vancouver had woken up and headed for the MOV on their bikes. Don't these guys own cars?

The build has begun! Woohoo!! There will be 3 lines side by side. Real jumps, good progression and a sweet pumptrack on the side.

They'll be done in about a month.

checked out the progress last night. They look sweeeet!!

Beginner set is nice small tables, intermidiate are nice gaps (probably a bit bigger and more tech than typical 'intermidiate' jumps) and the big set is big but super smooth and inviting.

i went by there last night too….these are gonna be sick.

Is there going to be any guidelines to keep these jumps in fine shape? like no big bikes? .. and who gets the responsibility of maintenance?

I'm ignoring Smedley.
