I was up at Whistler on the weekend and got hooked up with a ride to the top of the gondola. I got to preveiw some of the new trails up there. which includes some of the steepest terrain on the mountain. and the biggest step ups and hip jumps I have ever hit. just sick. can't wait until next year, and the park is still open!:D

Eye on the TV
'cause tragedy thrills me
Whatever flavor
It happens to be like:
"Killed by the husband"
"Drowned by the ocean"
"Shot by his own son"
"She used the poison in his tea
and kissed him goodbye"
That's my kind of story
It's no fun til someone dies

i would think it'll jump fifty like it did last year.i've heard, that they want the break even price to be around 15-20 day trips……….so figure around 500 hundred bucks.they use the same formula for the winter pass.appearently they get alot of riders hitting 60-100 days:eek: for myself the highest i'm willing to pay is $350(less 50 for the brocard)

They should offer discounts to returning customers, or they'll probly lose me next year…

ya its getting a bit pricey. I ahvent used my pass as much this year as I did last, but still had some fun times. If it goes up much more I may rethink this whole Whistler pass thing.

You guys should see what we ride out here in Ontario for the same price you guys pay for Whistler. We have what equates to about 700' of vert at this one "hill" that only has about 7 runs without lifts, but they do use a shuttle. The price may be steep at whistler but it is a great value for what they offered.

Someone said the new upper section is steep how steep is steep?
Steep is good, is it steeper then the last section on Crack Addict?

i rode those trails too, the step up is sick, and the schley hip is cool but i didnt go to big off it.

Those steep sections are super fun, were there many bridges in, when i rode it there were like two little ones but there was a area where they were building some stuff that was unridable, u had to hike abike over all the logs and whatnot.

Some sections of the trails are steep.
About as steep as some of the rockfaces on joyride or clown shoes. But technical and rooty.

That's good news…They really need to open up more of the mountain. I've only been up once this year--too long of a line up at the bottom for the $$$ for me.
