Did you try contacting the trail association? The trail is clearly marked on trailforks with the trail association who manages it. I'm sure if you ask them privately for information they will answer you. The existence on TF lends me to believe they arent trying to hide anything. I think direct conversation with the stakeholders is much more productive.
Unauthorized trail building in a provincial park
Found fresh trail building in a provincial park yesterday near a village north of Whistler in the sea to sky region. Looks like a very cool trail. Hey trail association people (you know who you are) - has permission been received in respect of the Saskatchewan inspired trail (judging by the area code name) to build through a provincial park? If so, maybe communicate that to your association's membership. I'm a member and I heard nothing. #transparency #opacity #secrecy
That trail is one of the oldest in Pemberton, so this shows your level of knowledge and participation. Again, ease up on the anger, it's not productive.
Talk to someone on the trail association if you have concerns. I'm going riding, you should try it sometime, great for the soul
Your on a bit of a tear aren't you?

If you're so concerned, why don't you actually get involved with the local trail association?
Note: starting multiple threads bitching about stuff and outing potentially unsanctioned trails does not count as "getting involved". Otherwise quit your bitching and go ride your bike.
yeah that trail is not new, I rode it in 2004/5 I think, crashed my brains out breaking my handlebars on the moe joes drop too, never rode it again, lol

This one? 80 hours of recent volunteer work reported on trailforks. Would you like a personal letter any time a shovel is raised? Please send a self adressed stamped envelop to your local volunteer trail association.

Someone has to fes up. This can't be real. I think it's boom4real.
Wrong. Always.
Found trail never knew existed, causes elevated heart rate and angst, posts outrage on NSMB.com.
What's the deal Jon? First you are arguing for Trump on facebook and now these online tantrums.
We're getting complaints about your attitude on the site and about your actions off the site.
Maybe it's time to look in the mirror rather than blaming others for whatever is going on for you?
I love how shitty people get when something you put zero effort or work into is being altered, we get to ride the best trails in the world for free, how dope is that?
This sums up so many threads here now.
Wrong. Always.

i think this happens because mtb'ing is a passionate activity and it's easy for people to build an emotional attachment to a trail. so when a fav trail gets altered in a way someone may not agree with it's not surprising that it can trigger a negative reaction. that doesn't necessarily make it ok, but it could explain why it happens.
We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.
