I am thinkin of switching to a hardtail to simplify and to improve my skills. I am really excited to do this but ive been spoiled with my Kona stinky . . (Totally decked out). I am most likely gunna to this switch but its tough and i need some feed back from you guys. Thanks!

I've never ridden a fully for long but I know that riding a HT keeps me smooth.

I just made the switch and love it, but I don't think I'd be able to live life without an FS rig. It's on it's way.

My advice would be to have both if it's in you price range. If you find that you're riding one a lot more, you can sell the other.

I guess it all depends on your style of riding. If it's all over the map (like mine I guess) then both is just the thing. If it's just one, you owe it to yourself to switch to the HT, you can always switch back later, and in the meantime you'll be fine-tuning your skills.

i just got a ht and i love it. you can do so much more than on your fs, you can flick it around easier.

I just switched from a VPS fluid to a DMR. The only thing that is different is drops with sketchy landings ( huge ruts, trees on corners after drops, etc ). The switch back was otherwise painless. If I could afford both I would $$$, but the Hardtail is just more versitile.
