Where were they stolen from? Area? You might also want to post them in the 'Stolen' thread. Good luck!

Good point!

Stolen from lower Caulfield west van. From my house.

I should also point out if I find anyone riding this bike I will hurt them and take my bike back.

I live in that area and will keep an eye out too! Such a quiet area for thieving to happen

Thanks Ddean!

It was only the bikes so I am guessing I was targeted. I will definitely be more discrete from now on.

The Constable that attended the scene told me something pretty surprising, he said we probably get our door handles tried once a week by the many people wandering west van at night looking for thieving opportunities.

He also suggested there is information coming out of bike shops who have addresses and therefore know what bikes are where but I don’t really want to believe that one.

Another thing that can happen is thieves returning about a month later to steal the replacement bikes. Happened to me but we woke up when they attempted to enter my fortified shed. At that time a number of local racers lost bikes. The thinking was perhaps thieves were checking results sheets and looking up racers addresses.

Yep, I've heard of riders being followed home/scoped from rides. Happened to some friends. Same deal...the ONE TIME they left the garage un-locked...bikes were stolen.

Don't underestimate how useful Strava is for finding bikes and their routes as well.

You can adjust the privacy settings though. And as always, do not post pics of your bike and whereabouts of where you live. All these social media things are public.

I hope you find your bikes. Good Luck!
