What would you think the best route to Fromme Peak would be? Skin up the hiking trail from the gravel pit?

That would be my choice. There is another way to get to that trail from the 7th switchback that may be more sporting. Of course, none of these trails will be visible under the snow…unless someone has already tracked them for you.
I would probably ski down the north side towards Eric's the Red trail.

Yesterday hiked up espresso and skied down lower oilcan to the baden. Snow on the top 2/3 was fine. Bottom 1/3 was enough coverage just crappy snow.

Pretty good laugh, see what the next system brings in now I have my decent worked out.

Went up again on Saturday aft. Grouse mtn resort drove a snowcat down to the 6th switchback for some reason. Chunked up the road which from top of Espresso until there was a really nice skin up. Was able to skin up the middle between the chunks from the cat tracks. The snow quality from 7th up is pretty good, did the out and back at the 7th switchback, great snow, mellow pitch back. Skied pile of rocks which was OK. All below was crappy which was expected but lots of coverage. Skied the icy shit on Jerry rig to the Baden, skis off and walked back to Dempsey. Was a fun day out, will be going to give Fromme peak a go next cold storm cycle.

Pictures from a few weeks back
Briefly thought about bringing the board up, but settled on snowshoeing up the powerlines to the top.

Nice pix.
Yeah was wondering about the powerlines. Have to say was a lot of fun trekking around Fromme on skis, a novelty for sure. Looks like the snow fun is over unless we get another blast in the lower mainland, but long range shows mild temps.
Wanna also give Harvey a go.

I think more people skied the Howe Sound Crest trail in the last month than in the last 10 years combined.

My instagram feed supports this statement.
