Short Cypress Bowl Rd closure Saturday morning

Heads up on Cypress for the Rotary Ride for Rescue happening Saturday morning.

Expect lots of skinny tires on Cypress Bowl Road. It will be open to traffic except from 9:00 am-9:20 am when the riders start up the road. BLT will see a bunch of mtn bikes and one cross bike.

You're riding the cross bike again Alan? That must be horrific gearing for some of the sections! Let me know if you want to ride my Epic instead.

You're right about the 34x32 gearing on the Boone, but I survived last year. This year the top of BLT is still covered in snow so the mountain ride is detoured through the ski area works yard. If only I'd trained for this!

More like I destroyed myself. Average cadence on the climb was below 50. Brutal!

Surprisingly most of the times were only a minute or three faster than last year when we stayed on BLT. Must've been faster in the rain.
