You've already got a lot of blacks, so it won't be hard to keep the "dark" look. I use Lightroom so may not have the correct Aperture terminology here…

Have you adjusted the exposure at all yet? I would probably start by raising it 0.3 at a time until it looks more like it did to the naked eye (which is, I'm assuming, brighter).

Gave it a shot and this is what I got. It was tough tweak though, 2.3 stops increase, lots of noise reduction, curves and few others. Looking back I should have kept the shutter open a hell of a lot longer.

Very nice! Just checking out your exif data (on flickr) looks like you really had to work for that!

Nice photo Morgan, I love how green everything looks this time of year! Despite the cold/wet I still love riding in November :). Not the Shore but my fav pic I took this weekend:

When the forest looks at its best, getting enough light into the camera is often difficult. ISO 2000 and 2.8 is a normal thing for me. Fortunately the 7D deals with it decently, and I really only publish to web.

It's a ferry ride close. It's on the new Maple Syrup re-route (PS pretty bloody amazing trail by the way!)
