Thanks for the info - i always wondered how a little oasis like that could exist in the middle of the woods - its a nice spot….but i kind of agree with the muni on the ruling - mainly because i find it higly likely that some kids would end up trashing that shed and probably burning it to the ground…someday it may pay off for him.

I kind of get the fire and vandalism risks but fundamentally this begs many questions about land ownership.
So in general if I buy a plot of land in the forest with no road or utility access am I not allowed to build on it?
I get that the zoning was intended for the purpose of real estate speculation rather than construction before 'the city arrived' but isn't residential zoning still residential zoning?

onepunch - that photo just gave me some really cool ideas for night shots. Really bummed my camera will be heading in for service next week when I get home. Just have to be patient I guess.
