Couldn't you achieve the same effect in Lightroom without a filter?
The purpose of a ND filter is to allow proper exposure of very bright and very dark areas at the same time. Lightroom can't fix a 10 stop exposure problem. Even if you cut the exposure half way, you'd blow the highlights in the sky and the blacks would be crushed. ND filters also work on film cameras ;)
