I'll be in Vancouver for 10 days in July and will be spending as much time as possible riding the Shore. I've been to Fromme about half a dozen times over the years. Love it but I'm ready to explore some new areas like Cypress and Seymour.

Is it worth picking up a guidebook to read up on the area? I think I've seen a couple for sale online, but ca't tell how recent / good they are.

Any reco's for guide book / maps? Or does nobody read those anymore because of TrailForks?

Thanks!

Here is the book you are looking for: Locals Guide to North Shore Rides

They also have an Iphone (and I think Android app) that I think has all the information from the book + GPS map functionality. I think the app will probably be more useful to you than the book and I think it is cheaper too.

Sign up to do one of the fiver races.  You will be talking about the ass kicking the Shore gave you that night for years.  Plus you'll get fed and watered.
