Thanks Lady Gravity
As far as I know, Secret Cycles is open, I picked up some gloves from them yesterday.
We may open up more community work days later in the week if the weather does not hold up.

Yeah sorry guys but when I checked the dates again I realised I have to work. Going away on the Easter weekend too unfortunately.
Anyway, keep posting workdays here and I'll get to any I can.
I ride Bikes
poco is sick!
you have obvioulsy never been to the park there

Give it some time and some work.. it has the potential to be an amazing place

It's a great place when you're a beginner. Lafarge's jumps are fucking scary when you're only a few weeks into riding.
With some work, those jumps could have decent flow.
One of these is not like the others.

Exactly,
the idea is to have some small jumps that everyone can learn on and also have dialed jumps that good riders would even have fun on. With the transition of jumps in between.

Cool, we need some more learning spots, and spots for us less airborne and more grounded riders…
Go metric, go BIG [HTML_REMOVED]#8212; I may soon complete jumps as high as 1 000 000 000 000 (billion) picometers ;)
I'll try and be there at least one day for a few hours [HTML_REMOVED]#8212; rain or shine right?.
Is any part of the area ride-able now?
Glad to hear the jumps will be getting worked on! They had no flow, but then again when it comes to DJ I'm a newb, just found the Lafarge ones to be more smooth. Love the rest of the park though, especially the log ride and the progressive drops

Does anyone here have good experience working with big machines and dirt jumps? We could use your help on Thursday.
It's too bad this is on a weekday. A good friend of mine lives 2 minutes away from you guys, was THE original builder of the lafarge jumps (back when it was amongst trees) and is an excavator operator by profession. If this was on the weekend he would be down to help out by hand and by machine.

That would be great, maybe we can arrange something the weekend after this weekend coming up. We can't borrow/rent the backhoe this weekend, only Thursday. Possibly next next weekend.

Finally made it out there this morning, while running errands.
Saw a works crew mucking about, lucky kids in the neighbourhood, good place to learn.
Not sure about parking, was worried I was in the middle of some skinnies ;o)
But nice and quiet, so not too embarrassing for this old galoot.
