seymour climb vs fromme

I been riding fromme for the past 3 years and have gotten a little bored of it.
On the other hand I've only ridden seymour 3 times when I caught a few shuttles with some folks on here.
How does the seymour climb ( highway) compare to fromme?
length and intensity

I have not ridden up Seymour, but I driven it lots. My answer would tend to be that it makes up for its far greater length by being more intense. It is paved though.

Seymour: it's a long ride. Aprox 8.5 km and 850 vertical metres to CBC.

I have slogged up to CBC on my Stab a few times. Not my favourite thing to do. You do get to look down on the shuttle whores as they drive by (what ever that is worth).

10.5 km of sheer boredom if you ride the road.The first 2 kms are steep(er) than most of the climb,as is the last km or so.

Not sure of the length of the ride if you climb trails up to the 6 km mark,but that again is much more demanding than riding the entire road or the fromme climb.

I've ridden to the Mushroom Lot on a 40lb Bullit, and to CBC on a 35lb 4X bike and it's a pretty boring climb but perfectly doable. And yes, you can't help but feel a bit smug.
Although you can also feel a bit of a tit when you are cycling up with Naz from Marzocchi and he drops off the back, only to go flying past in the back of a truck a few minutes later LOL etc…

climb Old Buck not the highway, forget about CBC there's plenty of better trails to pedal to.

shuttlers or anyone for that matter don't really give two shits if you're feeling smug.

Like DaveM said climb old buck. I would ride up to CBC on 40+lb Scareb and didn't mind it at all just watch out for the bears in the ditch be aware of speeding cars flying around corners.

there's plenty of good legal trails on Seymour once you look past the usuals, and the fact that you're riding up mean you're likely in good enough shape to enjoy them.

It's a weird phenomenon I discovered when I moved over here. Lots of people stick to one mountain. It still seems crazy to me.
