Is the rockslide upstream or downstream of the powerlines? Anyone know?

Downstream. It's exactly where the east end of Bridal Path dumps out onto Fisherman's. The sign/marker is a few feet from the mesh they put up to stop people from going down towards the slide.

Decent pic of the slide. It's a lot bigger than it looks in the photo - the rock in the middle is about the size of a house. There are also a few other good photos and vids at the site linked.

So if the water levels at the start of that graph are correct, the bridge and path would have been under water. I don't they ever were. I would rely more on the blue triangles as indicators of the initial level, they may have been futzing about with the equipment for the first couple of days. Later on, where the blue triangles are bang on the green line - that's likely the point where the level measurements become reliable and meaningful.

On Fisherman's Trail, west side, where the tunnel is, if you proceed north from the tunnel the trail dips down. That dipped section was under water.

The Metro guy said that the water level at east section of Fisherman's, around the bridge, was at the level of the trail and the concern is the erosion caused makes the trees in the area unstable.

Maybe we should go down and paint pictures of Mohamed in a dress and such on the rocks and then publish them pretty soon a large IED goes off in the canyon….problem solved.

The raw, primitive, unrefined trails that see little to no maintenance are the kinds of trails that really build skill. What kind of skills do you learn riding a trail that was made by a machine, groomed to perfection and void of any rocks, roots or other obstacles that could send you careening over the handlebars?

i think it is great that they set aside some time for the guys to just have some fun .

all that training in those hot dry dusty conditions , a guy needs to take a break . . . kinda shows they are just regular people .

Yay - Mayor Walton wants to see the crossing replaced. See latest NS News for article.
