The first time I was at the twin bridges, there were two bridges. One for the road and one carried a large pipe. Wood pipe bound by steel, like an infinitely long barrel. The pipe ran through tunnels along the canyon. There are two tunnels along the fisherman's trail downstream from the bridge and one upstream, the upstream one being right by the bridge, within a couple of hundred meters upstream. That was in the 70's.
i remember that as well

i walked up there last weekend to have a look .
they have put up construction fence barriers and some big debris piles to discourage anyone going up to the twin bridges .
what really surprised me was how far downstream from twin bridges the slide actually is .
i can't wait to put a canoe in that lake and explore the new shoreline .
Wood stave line.
