Is anyone thinking this is less than a $50 million project? Does anyone think it's worth the cost?

Loggers could put a new bridge in for less than 1% of that.

A pedestrian/bike bridge may be a good compromise.

Including the removal of 50,000 mt of rock from the bottom of a steep ravine with no direct access?

Why remove the rock? What's the point. Mother nature remodelled, life goes on.

K, so I've been doing some really extensive research and stuff and I'm pretty sure we can make one of these. It'll be cost effective I think and will be good because it's a little bit bouncy.

I'm also very fond of this design. It's got a channely bit in case more water comes down again in the future.

Plus its not like there will never be another slide in that area, ever, again.

if Drew was smart he'd reconsider and lobby the district to use that money for a park ranger program to deal with oncoming horde of ebikers.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

I don't want to speak for him, but I think what Drew wants is for a sober review of options once the current situation has subsided a bit.
