Does anyone have experience mtbing in the Barcelona area?

I am going to be spending some time there and was wondering which bike to bring and what sort of riding to expect.

Thanks for info….. [HTML_REMOVED]3

Talk to Matt J at NSBS, he was in Spain earlier this year and did some urban riding. He might have some tips.

There's also some riding in the upper part of the city in the Serra de Collserola Natural Park.

Barcelona is an amazing city in a beautiful area so I don't want to be a downer but make sure you get a REALLY REALLY good bike lock or keep your bike inside. When I was there last, youth unemployment was hovering around 25% and the pickpockets in the tourist areas are legendary so bike thieves are probably also pretty common and proficient.

Unfortunately I did not have time to see if there is a local mountain bike scene the times I was there so I can't help with info on that.

Year-round, truck-accessed bike park some way South of Barcelona. Book in advance since the whole venue often gets booked by companies looking to do closed-door product testing.
