An "up and comer" or "newcomer" to one region may be well known elsewhere, etc. Like I'm sure that around here lots of people are saying "who the fuck is Sam Hill? But in Aus, or wherever the hell he's from, they've known for a while. Same with SuperT, I wouldn't call him a newcomer, but some guy in Arkansas probably hadn't heard of him until very recently.
