Haha, that's funny. Do tell?

PS, doubt you'd approve of my attire on my 'proper' roadie.  Been there done that with the razor and squad uniform.  It's a neat feeling til you snap out of it and realize who you really are, or maybe not? ;-)

#fuckthescene

...or, more polite, why not baggy shorts and fenders? What is the point of all the dress codes and whatnot? It is just bicycling, riding a bike on whatever surface a rider thinks of as appropriate in whatever that rider feels comfortable wearing on that occasion. Jeans? Why not? If you are interested, check out the great magazine Shredder MTb Zine from the UK, issue 9, to be precise.

Two really great interviews with Billy Hoyes and Remy Morton on perspective and riding culture.

Those people can go blind for all I care. If it's wet enough I'm fendering up. I also wear baggies because they are just so versatile. Couldn't care less if I look "unfavorable". Fashion bitching in Ride More Bitch Less is rather amusing though.

LOL, good humor, thanks!

My sorta disdain comes from running across a 'crowd' of people in the low hanging fruit regions east of the city whom are out 'training'.  I get it, one needs to prepare if one competes but it's a fashion show in an odd place where one never existed. I guess you could liken it to the invasion of the shore decades ago when the grumpy old men had to learn to share the goods.

Anyhoo, always looking forward to the next ride!

I love my pink Oakley's while wearing a high vis yellow helmet mismatched kit on a gravelbike with fenders on a Gran Fondo. 😎

Been bangin out the revolutions aboard the fleet minding my own early morning business lately.  Critical for wellbeing given the fangs of work sunk into my jugular, co-habitation with adult offspring, wrangling 3 working dogs on a day-to-day never mind life's sh%%show of late.  Made a long overdue visit to my Gambler Creek** watering hole the other day aboard the robo-couch and I'll be damned, I felt like a new man from the abundance of oxygen and the scarcity of humanity in that zone.  Riding more, feeling much better thanks...

**feeling lucky punk?  take a sip from the creek and see if you can evade the giardia.   I won the gamble once, not sure if I'll be forced to try again.

Thanks for the bumping the thread, this is one of the best:

Finally got to take The Boy on a MacRide ride on my real mountain bike, giving us access to my favorite trails and summit.  These things are really cool and you can ride some serious trail with em!

Also, commute bitching was kept at bay recently - turns out if you’re carrying a chainsaw the cars give you a little extra room :)
