Changes is inevitable but it's nice to see that after 16.5 years of this thread bouncing around, the core ride values have endured.

Thanks for having it started back then. It really is inspiring at times qhen life seems to be a bit much....nothing beats a ride, even if just a short one, when life seems to get to us.

Got out today for a couple laps. It was very good. Good start to 2020, a fresh breeze was blowing & the sun was shining. We are spoiled to live in this part of the world.

That was a funny time on this board, Mic. Lots of poo flinging, way less bike tech nerd stuff and a spectrum of trail politics led by numerous local hot heads. Good humor for the most part.

Fast forward to now and it's a new world. I'm lucky to still be able to ride and I consider it a gift every time I roll open the garage and throw a leg over a bike. Hope others see it or learn to see it that way.

Keep up your good energy Mic, this place benefits from your balanced insights.

Muy bueno. I have not ridden in a couple weeks and the arm chewing thing is starting to happen. I'll keep these +'ve thoughts in mind when I go for a rip tomorrow, even if it's car wash conditions on my fender bike.

Smashed my foot in November, knee went out right before Christmas, lower back got into the act a few days later and things are getting heavy with the wife’s pregnancy so I haven’t been riding AT ALL - 

The 30 minute ride around the neighborhood I just took with my 2 year old was magic!  Viva la bike!

Tashiy, riding with kids is magic. I really started to appreciate almost everything a lot more when I started road tripping with my son almost four years ago. 

Rode 120km last week, commuting by bike. Pretty proud of myself although it was only three out of five. 

Probably going for a road ride later. But....legs are heavy. The good kind of heavy.

Hang in there Tashi, injuries take time and the time you're redirecting/investing into your kid on bikes is one of the ultimate gifts.

I never rode a bike with my parents....ever. But my momma did me a few solid ones when I was a grom and came home with a few police auction bikes over the years.

I repaid her the favor later in life in the form of a 1959 Schwinn 24" cruiser I found in Eugene OR and went riding with her on a few occasions. Precious moments watching a 65+yo person (at the time) hop on a bike and laugh like a little mouthy grom.

That inspires me to get a bike set up for my mum - she wants to ride but is a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing. Three generation cruiser rides from my house would be amazing.

Mic is bang on the money... old beat to hell print taped to the inside of my toolbox for the last 27 years. And yes, the wheels were orig and fully clapped.

Great weather for riding. The grip on the shore trails is excellent. Get out & ride. Last I heard the trails were virus-free.
