drops to long hill, are weird, the drop is from the lip to the top of the hill. But for drop with built up trannies(digger's), now that's a real drop:thepimp:

Slowly dropping off a 10' drop (A) to a tranny is way harder than flying off a 2' drop and landing at the 10' (B) point of the tranny. It's all about your vertical (downward) speed.

I stand at the landing point and if I can't see the run in all I care is that it is over 6'.

Don't sweat the petty stuff but it's OK to pet the sweaty stuff.

Haha, I went riding with some kids who told me they found a 10 footer to a sweet tranny, I got there, and it's a little box less than a foot high, and they were launching like, 3 or 4 feet down

You need to calculate out a formula. (vertical distance travelled in feet)(day of the month)/ (age)(diameter of wheels in kilometers)
That gives you about the right height for a drop. I go riding later in the month, cuz the drops get bigger.

Well I agree with Blah.

I guess it was just a case of overexaggeration as to how much the tranny adds. Ahh well.

Who cares how many feet it is!!!???
Measuring drops is lame just ride shit and don't even think about how many feet something is. The only reason to measure a drop
is so you can brag about it and that is also lame.

OH NO! I dont think so. YOU AHVE NO RIGHT SAYING THAT!!:flame:

The way b;ah measured it before did make som sense, but yeah, doin a 10 ft verticle to small tranny compaired to a 2 foot to like landing 8 feet down a hill are totally diff as stated before. I think you should just measure teh actaul drop, unless the tranny is a super steep, like real tranny, I guess thats how teh super t thing went… kinda makes sense, but is reaaaaaly wierd.
