I pulled a tick off my trail bud Penny (in my avatar) after riding in Squamish the other day.

Don't forget to check yourselves and your trail dogs for these hop'ons. Its that time of year already

The Ticks? Is this some hot new indie band? Are they playing a show locally or is this an album release?

Inquiring minds want to know...

No 'the'. Ticks. That's how we'll be able to date them moving forward.

I pulled a tick off one of my dogs after riding Squamish as well. Last year was quite bad in Whistler and Pemberton but only for a couple weeks in spring then nothing. Is that normal with ticks?

I have my dog on NexGuard to address the tick and flea problem and it's awesome.  The ticks don't even bite him anymore, they just want to get the fuck away!  Went from having to remove about a 3 ticks/week to zero in the last three years.  I'm sure there are side effects but I'll choose that over the risk of Lyme etc. for a dog that's out in the tick-infested woods of the Victoria area 5-7 days/week.
