Ready to rip, even with the seat as low it can go it is still a little to big but she loves it

We've got the same bike and when our guy was too short I just took the seat and post off and zip tied a pad over the seat tube. Also the air tires are larger diameter than the solid foam tires and wheels so thats another way you can lower it. Love those beefy drop outs, that bike is so much burlier than the other run bikes out there.

Glad this thread resurfaced, I had been looking for it but nothing was showing up in my searches. Fun to go thru it with my 3yo, he loves it. Funny how he can't tolerate the new Chris Akrigg video segment where he is riding the little bike, but he sure gets inspired watching other groms shred.

Had the same problem with my sons first bike. You can invert the outside pieces of the seat clamp to gain another .75". A bit of a bitch to install (take the post out first) but it helps get the seat truly slammed

Glad people appreciate this thread being resurected. It was a bit of a bitch to find, for some reason

I've also seen people take the seat off, and just zip tie some foam to the top tube/seat tube area.

Attached is a week old image of my son Marian ripping our backyard pumptrack. We have on wednesdays our mid-week "father and son afternoon", and as long as it is nice and sunny we ride together, watch a bike movie or do some other father-son stuff. Wicked.

My little guy's runbike:

He's still too young/short to use it, but I think he's been watching too many bike movies with dad because as soon as he saw it he tried to swing a leg over it.

Being cheap is OK. Being a clueless sanctimonious condescending douchebag is just Vlad's MO.

Here is my 4 year old daughter on the trails of N. Van, yesterday. It is a custom full suspension Lil Shredder bike. I am jealous of my 4 year old. She loves loves loves to ride her bike, we've even let her stay up a little late to do some night riding on some walking trails by our house.

I love the expression on her face! I'd say she's hooked!

Nice stuff newgirl!!!

The 10 year old girl was at a bday party at Playland today, so after the boy (just turned 8) was done his soccer game, we headed out to Fromme. One lap up to Bobsled, one lap up to Floppy Bunny, and then a final lap down Upper and Lower Griffen.

Some cell phone shots captured the good times:

Loving this thread. My boy is on the cusp of walking and I'm looking forward to getting a strider for him in a few months.
