Do any of you have a copy of the Pedal Magazine article from about 1995 on mountain biking on the North Shore? I had it, but it got thrown out a long time ago. I remember it talked about some crazy characters with names like

let me check my stash of mags….my wife claims I never throw any of my mags away (the mountain of them in my shop would probably support her claims). I will get back to you.

The article is May 1998. It's right here on my shelf. There is some dude named 'John Matthews' riding a trail with a noose as trail art. Ever heard of him?

i had that magazine as well. i thought it was so cool to see the north shore published in that context. isn't that shandro on the cover (rolling the old ramp on boogie)?

There are a few shots by Sterl but the majority are by John Gibson. In fact this is a John Gibson shot of Sterling.
