People really vote based on something as trivial as car park fees? No wonder the world is getting more fucked by the day. "Me! Me! Me!"

It's not about wanting a free lunch and it's not at all trivial. It's about two things:
- the freedom of anyone regardless of socioeconomic status to be able to enjoy our parks the same way.
- maintaining financial clarity in government budgets by forcing our governments to balance budgets by using existing revenue streams. Governments love to open new revenue streams and then claim to have kept taxes low when in fact the have raised taxes, just in a way that makes it more difficult for us taxpayers to hold them accountable.

As I said, I pay taxes and realize this is necessary. BUT: I only want to pay taxes once a year, not every time I go to a public park.
