Patrick, I can't thank you enough for your role as MC at the event for my brother the other day. You did our families a solid one.

I just found out the very sad news about Paul Higgins last night, I cant believe that Paul is no longer with us, very sad times for our biking community and my thoughts are with his wife and young family. I was lucky to consider Paul as a good friend, someone to ride and build with also. I really think that we as a community have to do something to remember what legacy that Paul has left us to enjoy when we ride our bikes. Paul done so much work to better the mountain biking on the North Shore, I find it sad that most folks don't know or care who builds and maintains our vast trail network. I think we have to change that and do something to remember what he has left us. His dream was to build a climbing trail on the DS, maybe this is something that we look into, I don't mind the hard work and I am sure there are lots of you out there that would also be happy to through some weight behind this.
Pat is you could get in touch with me, as I think this is something that we can make a reality.
I am going to miss the warmth he brought in the coldest wettest days when I was out there building.

Ned: No problem at all. I was glad to be able help out at the ceremony. It was great riding with you and your boys on the weekend.

Stuart: Excellent post. I sent you a pm.

if he had a hand in building that, it's still in great shape! Well worn, but still solid.

the precedent has been set for a climbing trail in BC Parks with 50 shades of green in squamish.

Knowing the butt headedness of BC parks, it probably won't happen.
