I'm new here, so Howdy to everyone.

You freakin' Canadian maniacs are inspiring me to new levels.

I'm 35, ride a bullit and have been jonesing for some "north shore style" riding around here. Some kids built a fun stunt park, but it's small, on "no trespass" private property and lacks the flow I'm looking for.

Well, we just moved up the McKenzie River valley and now I'm in heaven. Ride out the door of my house and begin the ascent - house 600', summit within 4 miles 3500'. I'm just in the planning stages of the full 3000' descent, but on Monday I tasted some of the sweetness. I found an existing 250-300 yard steeper than shit slide that had me quaking in my boots as I climbed it. I rode the whole thing, though and only bailed once. Now I'm jonesing to go back up and start trying a couple of the launches built into the slide, just can't quite picture handling the speed that will come from launching on something that steep. Both wheels locked up, ass on rear wheel, just sliding faster and faster - gotta love it. As soon as I get some pictures I will share them - I know they are worthy.

Thanks again for being freaks - I look forward to getting to know some of you and getting my ass up north asap.

Where in the Valley? I used to live off of Deerfeild rd on the way out of Springfield. That is such a beautifull area, try and hook up with the DoD (desciples of Dirt), way back in the day they were the best….Kinda XC…but they probably have some rippers down there too. Anyway sounds like fun and if you are ever up in Kamloops gimme a shout and we can ride. And hey…if its not on the shore….please dont call it shore. It is where it is and what you make it, just have fun.

Leaburg is where we are - do you mean Deerhorn Rd.? If so, we are just a little further east. Anyway, yeah beauty everywhere - been foggy in metro area and blue sky at our house lately - I love that!!! DOD are a little too XC for me from what I've heard - most of the rippers down here are 15-18, not that I mind, just harder to hook up and like I said not much to hook up on as far as flowing freeride trails. I will try to hook up with you when I come north, thanks.

There's some really sick shore style trails with bridges and ladder drops and stuff, but it all got torn down right before I moved. I can try and get the location of the new stuff I'm sure they built if you want.

ride because walking sucks
