Fixing forum search is on the to do list. In the meantime, to find a post, you can use Google with "site:nsmb.com"

Example:

https://www.google.ca/#q=site:nsmb.com+forum+financial+independence&*

Thanks for your feedback and patience, everyone. As has been mentioned before, Norman and I are doing this next to full time jobs so sometimes it takes a while before we are able to fix things. In the meantime, enjoy the great spring weather (finally!).

Edit: links not working is also on the to do list ;-)

But I'm sure it looks better to have a few hundred people type their friends name into the "comments" section after an NSMB Facebook post.

^^^ That drives me bonkers in FB groups.  Why can't people just send the post to their friends as a message?

Thanks for the reply Cam.

I remain logged in on mobile. The new forum is quite a bit more functional on the phone than the old one.

My log in issue is with chrome on Windows 7. I can double check my settings tomorrow when I'm back on my desktop.

Cheers

Apologies for the delays. I believe I've tracked down the forum login problem so it should remember settings. Can you please let me know if the problem persists?

Need "new posts" search urgently.  Without this, endless clicking around all over the place to try to find what is new.

Soon I will stop bothering.

Clicking on next page in nbr threads list opens a new browser tab.  Used to just move onto the next oldest active threads, now it opens a new tab to do this.

Safari on iOS

It does this for either previous or next when viewing posts.

and? you still need to manually navigate to the first new post in each thread, also requesting unread topics loads way too long, several seconds. someone's code is not fast...

I just looked into this and identified the inefficient code in the forum software. Looks like we should be able to make it faster.

Thanks for your feedback!
