...and then a 404 after posting this^
NSMB 4.0

I've been holding off on this comment, in the hopes Norm's all over it. I'm having real trouble reading the forum on my iphone 5s. Far too many dates and user names showing, it's impossible to navigate. To the point of "i'm cured of my bb.nsmb addiction".
Oh, and where did "attachments" go?
screenshot of my bitchiness.
Can't see the screenshot, but would like to so we can address this.
Response emailed you the screenshots Pete@nsmb.com
click on attachments and it downloads them to your computer.
I don't like the new format at all. As a non-techy person, ease of use is important to me and this setup isn't intuitive. Also, way too much white background. Generally, I just don't like the layout for viewing or finding posts.
As someone else said earlier, it has curbed my visits to this forum. Kinda sad to see the numbers dropping off, although they were dropping even before the change. This certainly isn't the same place that I signed onto in 2003.

I first logged onto the forum back in 2001, then nsmb had a challenging time which had me somehow log in for real in 2002.
Nsmb.com.has always been important to me, as being part of a culture more interested in stoke, fun and individual progression as a rider than the miles logged as a xc rider.
Coming from a skateboarding background I can still more relate to Powell Peralta's and SC' s early vhs - and therefore to Kranked, having visited the Shore and the Island and Powell River in 96 and then in 97 and 01.
What the heck is going on? Or rather......what is not?
Would be nice to have clickable links open in a separate window like vbulletin.
Would be even nicer if we got a back rub at least once a week saying how important NSMB forums are.
Guys, if it's a PITA for you, just say so. We'll get it figured out.
I like the latest changes in the new NSMB. For now it looks to keep me logged in, the top link bar keeps everything handy. Getting better.
Question on attaching pictures. Is there any support for sharing through mail to something post@nsmb.com. It's a nice way to upload photos as compared to finding in browser window, then attaching.
When will the forum stop acting like Dory (of finding dory fame) and start remembering me for more than a couple of hours when I've checked the remember me for a month box on login?
This is becoming annoying.
Hey Rachid.
Could this be a browser setting? Oddly I had that problem all the time with Disqus but not now.
Norman and Niels are working hard on this stuff and doing their best to return any functionality that is missing and hopefully add some features that will Make the Forum Great Again! (seriously - they are)
Thanks for the reply Cam.
I remain logged in on mobile. The new forum is quite a bit more functional on the phone than the old one.
My log in issue is with chrome on Windows 7. I can double check my settings tomorrow when I'm back on my desktop.
Cheers

I have the same problem, also using Chrome.
The new forum is faster and cleaner and a change was needed for sure, but there are a few tweaks I would do in order to make it a bit more user-friendly.
- Remove the Subject in replies. Having "Re: NSMB 4.0" in every post is redundant.
- Highlight the thread names better on mobile. Right now they blend into the nickname of the poster and the last to reply. The thread name is bold, but not enough to make it stick out properly.
- Is there a way to turn off signatures? I would def have this.

The search function seems to be broken. I tried searching for a known post using a keyword across all forums, in subject only, in a specific forum, but no results, just a "404 not found" error.
