Monica has been great for the Mtb community.

She helps us to focus our efforts as a galvanizing force.

We could never have gotten a trail through mountain view park let alone her road.

And NOW she could be the catalyst that legitimizes mountain biking in the CMHC!

Thanks Monica!

You guys are totally on it!. Thanks Monica!

We should build a trail and name it after her.

Thoughts ?

I don't know Monica and haven't seen her nonsense like you guys have, but it seems like if we are going to have anyone lobby against mountain biking on the Shore, she's who we want doing it.

Grab yourself a great big drink Monica! You deserve it.

And Monica, it's never too late to find another way to enjoy the forest. Perhaps launching off structures won't be your cup of tea (not really mine either) but I bet you too can find some solitude on two.

So stop yer yappin and start BRAPPIN!!!!

DNV: Why the signs?
CMHC: We had an endless barrage of complaints
DNV: From who?
CMHC: Some environmental group led by a M. Craver
DNV: Really, M. Craver? She's batshit crazy, let me show you what an endless barrage of complaints looks like.
CMHC: Oh no, I feel like I've been punked.

Like several others in this thread, I moved my family to Vancouver in large part for access to the regional trail network. It's phenomenally disappointing to see so many-even some of those participating in this thread-seemingly determined to either shut these trails down or leverage the situation to wage their own personal or political battles. Why would anyone want this to be their legacy?

The trails of the Vancouver region are absolute gems, and it would be an enormous tragedy to see them lost. I have absolutely no intention to leave this area, especially after working so hard to make the move in the first place, but it seems like the momentum is to further development at all cost. It's hard to feel welcome in such a hostile environment.

I have nothing truly meaningful to contribute to this discussion - I just wanted to add my voice to the chorus of disappointment. And to those in this thread who are trying just so damned hard to either take these trails away or simply play politics, I hope that you look beyond your personal vendettas and grasp the extent to which your success would damage both the culture and economy of the region.
