Traffic circle. Overpasses are ugly and get tagged all the time.

There's nothing wrong with riding just to ride, and not pissing around at every trail intersection and stopping to say hi to everyone you come across.

THIS.

I'm not sponsored, I'm not chasing KOM's but I DO like to jam when I'm out on the bike. Based on my experience on the shore on a slowish day, that's going to result in rocking through a bunch of groups on every ride. I'm not stopping and chatting with everyone, I'm riding. I'm not being unfriendly, I'm just busy bikin' hard. It's not too hard to respect that and stay out of the way. I manage somehow.

Stand in my way for no reason and you might get told. Or I may just keep on riding, leaving you with a hurt butt…I'm not more important than you but..wait..yes I am - this is a trail and I'm riding, you're chatting. Move over.

RIDER UP!!!!!!!

1st thing I taught my son and my mutt , when stopping on the trail always pull off the trail to allow other thru . and never stop in high speed /high risk technical areas unless there is a injury or the likes , you put yourself and other in danger .

and as Tom and Tashi mention some like to get out and do their thing and not be a chatty Kathy and get the best out of their ride and time on the bike . I know I do when I get out for a solo rip , it,s all pin and grin .

Based on some of these posts in this thread I wouldn't want to meet these people on the trail. I'd probably get caught up in some stupid conversation about how dumb strava is, or how lame the term enduro is. or how being slow is fun.

I totally agree that there is a time and place to let er rip, but through the middle of a crowded trail intersection on a very busy afternoon is not it. These guys were factory sponsored riders, not kids. They knew the trail, and could see that there were a lot of people around. The fact that they weren't bothering to slow down or shout a warning clearly demonstrated a lack of respect for other trail users safety. I would expect that riding responsibly and being good ambassadors for the sport would be part of the job description for sponsored riders. Apparently not for these guys.

As far as ruining people's flow, are you serious? When it comes to flow vs safety, respect, and courtesy, flow looses every time.

i heard it was dave mackie. now that he's gotten all svelte he just rips it on his bike.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.
