Any idea's for a 2-3 hour hike with some nice scenery/views that won't be covered in snow right now? We usually do Quarry rock but looking for something different….

Probably covered in snow, but Eagle Bluff on Cypress or Dog Mountain on Seymour are easy hikes with great vistas. Maybe Dog Mountain with snowshoes right now.

Micro spikes would be better until we get more snow.

Up the Seymour valley on Fishermans to the viewpoint. You might recognize it from a few movies. Make sure to check out the tunnel on the way up Fishermans.

Dog Mountain, Seymour. Snow is probably hard packed and won't require snow shoes.

The walk up to Whyte Lake is really quite nice. No views but great old growth west coast feel, and a lake at the end. Can be as busy as Quarry Rock, though.

1 - the new Gondola is not yet open

2 - it does not go up the Chief

But aside from those 2 points, your comment made complete sense.
