Why not just sack up and ride/walk dales?

Thats how we used to progress at riding, and goshdarned it,we liked it!!

On one hand, these easier trails can be seen as progression trails for beginner/intermediate riders, but on the other, they can just be seen as adding variety to riding options for riders of all ability levels.

I've been riding the shore for about two years now, and really do enjoy the techy shore type trial but just this summer I started riding the Lost Lake trails in Whistler a fair bit and realized that I also really enjoy more smooth flowly xc style trails too for a different experience.

Would be nice to have some more flowly XC options on the shore for the days when you want to ride something aside from tech trails (which the shore already has plenty of). Nice to just throw on the XC lid and no additional gear and just go for a ride.

You could go in Hyannis to powerlines, push up the powerlines to AfterDales. It's not that far up….

i still like the trail name suggestion"bukkake". see what i did there i didn't say "I like …. damn

Is it counter productive to ride on my exercise bike with a cocktail in hand?

How about the big rock 2/3 of the way down the new trail? I already knew to stay left, but I came up on it last night after the rain and it was downright scary. Off camber and all the dirt has eroded from the backside, leaving it quite steep. Looks like lots of people have been falling off to the right as well.

Not dissing the builders at all, I love the trail, but this one feature doesn't really fit into the "rider expectancy" that is developed on the upper section and seems like an accident waiting to happen.

Anyone else come in hot on this one and had an "ohshit" moment at the last second?

Just saying it's a black feature, that catches experienced riders off guard, on a fast section of blue trail, that is designated as "intermediate". That's all.

And yes, after looking at it last night, I agree that hucking it might actually be the best option.

I had a hoot on the trail (and the similar one below it who's name escapes me at the moment) today. For the 'dumbing down the Shore' crew, stop dumbing down your bikes ;)

(I'm honestly quite surprised at how much control 50mm of badly damped travel can provide!)

Rode it over the weekend, trail was running really nice.

I see that a landing area was built behind the rock roll. Very nice and thanks. It was fine before but better now as there is it can be launched. Unfortunately for me, I got a little more speed than I bargained for and overshot the landing into soft dirt and continued forward with very nice land dart form. No fault of the trails just my lousy riding skills. Will pay more attention on the landing part of the jump next time. :D
