I can't wait for Weenie boy to re-open next month. And I hear building is well underway on Lola. After that flying ostrich or 9-1-1 may get started on

i love how you can see riders on an 8x8 bike, wearing full-on dainese, leatt, tld race kit and fullface helmet, and then others in spandex, 24lb ti bikes, no armour and seats up. on the same trails.

I wear leg armour and elbow as well, why? because I am self employed. If I have a freakish fall or it is wet out and the bike slides out of me, if I fuck up my knees or elbows on a rock, well I dont get paid to sit at home. Better to be safe then sorry.

Sorry kids, but shuttling bbt mountain is completely lame.

You miss out on 1/2 the fun of this beginner mountain by not
riding up and not practicing the non consequence skinnies of
dead moped and the skills park on north trail.

Leave your 8" bike at home unless it's the only bike you've got.

I have no rep power….. :ohthedrama:

I live close to SFU and ride it at least once a week. I almost always peddle up, usually on my freeride bike, sometimes on my DH bike. A few times a year I shuttle and get a 3-4 runs in. I enjoy it all and for different reasons. I don't feel guilty for shuttling or the days I take my big bike. I get pretty tired of hearing how judgemental some of you are on other people's choices of bikes, safety gear or how they get up the mountain. You ride sfu the way you get the most enjoyment out of it, everyone has their own preference and everyone is at different stages of their riding. Get over it… seriously.

I think that shuttling SFU is like shuttling the water shed. Why?

Life is like riding a bicycle – in order to keep your balance, you must keep moving.

actually the issue is more of what the trails can handle, and they're not built for multiple laps ie shuttling.

nicoles used to be a singletrack…back in the day. gearjammer was great when it was first built, now it's turning into a trench. i'd hate to think we have to armor the trails to handle the traffic, ala seymour.
