I got my son out on a bike with me when he was about 10 months old. He hated the helmet at first also until he got on the bike. We used one of those seats that you attach to the bike on a rat trap type thing. He kicked and screamed til we got him in it, then it was smooth sailing.

My son is 2.5 and is the exact same way. Once they get to a certain age and they see other people wearing them it seems OK. Hang in there.

I am a vegetarian not because I love animals but because I HATE plants.

It could be worse…you could be on fire.

That helmet is cool, it would match my cookie monster socks (I'm serious about the socks)

Chariots blow. I used the backpack style thing and tore up some single track with my little guy. He used to love it.

You mean that one that sits over the rear wheel like a rattrap for panniers? We refer to those as "the Catapult" when we see people running them.

no, the Chariots are these things… http://www.chariotcarriers.com/html_english/cougar2.htm

I had one trailer on the bike for awhile. They're great for road and mellow trails, but no good for single track / mellow DH.

You're thinking: "He took his child downhilling?"
The answer is: "Hell yes!!"

didnt someone on the board tape their kids hands to one of those trailer bikes and take them down neds??

Being an agoraphobic adrenaline junkie would be pretty convenient, because you could get your rush from just going to the store to get some milk instead of having to jump off a mountain or out of an airplane.

they also call me "balloon"

If they made one big enough it would make for a pretty funny "Jackass: kind of stunt for an adult go down. Although I would bet that the suspension on their cross country series wouldn't hold up very long!
