Rode Fromme climbing trail from home yesterday, total 844m of elevation per the Strava, at times, it smelled like BBQ.  I tried to ride as slowly as possible without tipping over in order to keep the heavy breathing (and the heart rate) down, which made it more bearable.  Can't wait until this smoke clears.  It was my first ride in 2 weeks, and likely my last non-shuttle until the smoke clears.

I can see Fromme from my place, yesterday looked like the higher you went up the thicker it was. Just pedaled up NQ to the Baden, Boundary lap. Didn't notice the smell at all.

It is 10+ here in Whistler but much better visibility than Saturday afternoon and all yesterday. I’ll be doing an easy ride by the river this morning. The Monday Night ride may have to be cancelled too.

It's a shame when they have to cancel rides due to the smoke. That said, my lungs were on fire at around 4am today. To the point where I considered driving to the medical clinic for some oxygen (I fell back asleep instead). After riding creekside and westside trails for the last 10 days while trying to avoid the Crankworx closures, I needed a day or two of indoor, filtered air.

I was shocked as to the lack of visibility for the Joyride and DH races. Every racer had a bit of a frog in their throats by the time they made it to the bottom.

Pedalled up to 7th on MH from the parking lot starting about 4:30pm. Never really noticed the smoke. When I got to 7th it seemed as though the sky had cleared at bit. Pic from the top of 7th.

Thickest I have ever seen it on the shore. Can taste it in the air.

Was way better today. Seymour lap in sub 30c, non smoky conditions was a welcome experience.

How are the trails? Haven't been out for a couple weeks... must be a lot better with the rain?

Fromme was great yesterday. Dampened the soil, all tacked up.
