Lost Dog On Bottletop

Hi,

On Tuesday night about 8pm I lost my dog while riding on Bottletop on Lower Seymour. The last place I saw her was at the top by Nuggies Bench. When I got to the bottom she wasn't with me. I've hiked up and down the mountain for the last two days trying to find her, but she seem to have completely disappeared.

Her name is Libby. She is a 5 yr old Australian Sheppard. Her color is brown and white. She is very timid, so she may not want to approach you.

She has a tag with her name and address on it, as well as a Village of Pemberton dog license (where I live).

Please see the attached photo.

If you see her or manage to get a hold of her, please call these numbers:

604 240 7684
604 762 2657

Any help is greatly appreciated. She is really dear to our family and is terribly missed.

Thanks in advance.

I live at the bottom of Seymour and will definitely keep my eyes peeled for her. Have you put up posters in the area? Talked to Jim at the pet store?

I sure hope you find her. I don't know what I'd do if I lost my dog… Good Luck!

Yup, there are posters all over the area now, even one up by Nuggies bench. I've been checking with the district and the SPCA every day.

And yeah, I feel like crying. She is a rescue dog from a puppy mill. We've had here about 2 years and she's come a long way. When we got her, she was afraid of everything. Now she is a little happy dog. I've been biking with her, and she loves to get on the trails and run. Until now, she'd just run right behind me.

We rode CBC, TNT, Cabin trail, Dales, Aftertaste, Bottletop. So maybe she ran back up? If you see someone hiking on those trails in the next few days, that'll be me….

We're sending dog-finding vibes your way!

I know exactly how you feel about your dog…Sasha was rescued from a puppy mill too. When you find her, get a Coughlan's bear bell from Canadian Tire or Wal Mart in the camping section. It has a velcro strap and goes on a dog collar super easy. Sasha wears it every ride (I call it her GPS) so I can always hear her right behind me. That way if she stops or turns around I'll know right away, rather than whenever I happen to stop or look back.

Wow that is really too bad, good luck finding her.

We were up along bridal path from Old Buck to Wills Way and back on an XC ride Wednesday eve and didn't see any sign of her.

Good Luck..

Haha,
A massive line of people just bush wacking through the woods.
People with radios incase they make a spotting.
I'd be down.
